A January thaw is in store for this week with flooding potential into Sunday.
The rain and ice will be behind us heading into Sunday and the sun will break through once again. Temperatures remain on the (comparatively) mild side through the next several days. There will be a couple chances for rain and/or snow through midweek.
Monday features copious amounts of sun and less wind. Highs will still be in the 40s. A weak system sweeps through at night with a few showers that last into Tuesday morning.
After a few morning showers on Tuesday, expect mainly cloudy skies with perhaps a break or two of sunshine. Still in the 40s!
Wednesday is where things get a bit more interesting. A system will try to form to our south, over the Mid Atlantic. This system will climb north and move over the waters of coastal Maine later in the day and at night. There are discrepancies amongst the models regarding the strength of this system, so we're including the chance for rain or snow during the late Wednesday/Wednesday night timeframe.
